Graduation – Wishing Our Students the Best
With the approaching spring, we are honouring graduates of 2025-2026.
Graduation is a big moment, full of excitement, nerves, and new beginnings. While it’s always a little bittersweet to say goodbye, we’re excited to see where life takes them next. We know they’ll do amazing things.
For the great accomplishments, we are celebrating their scholarly success by awarding them with UIS Scholarships. Congratulations to the all the students who were nominated, and we proudly present 2026 UIS Scholarships to:

Graduation – Wishing Our Students the Best
- UIS-Shinhan Scholarship: Ngoc Thuy Linh Nguyen is going to the University of Toronto for Co-op Life Science.
- UIS-Stonewell Scholarship: Yajun Yang is going to the University of Sidney for a Bachelor of Arts
- UIS-Stonewell Scholarship2: Heeyeong Kim is going to the University of Toronto for Social Science
- UIS-BMO Scholarship: Bao Ngoc Uyen Uyen Tran is going to York University for Nursing.
- UIS Scholarship: Sharmin Tavakkol is going to Nursing at Toronto Metropolitan University
- UIS Scholarship: Sayaka Hama is going to Waseda University for Social Science.
- UIS Contribution Award Scholarship: Pin Yin Chen, for helping out with school activities.
- Minel Naz Dokgoz for being such a great model during her years at our school.

University Offers and Scholarships – So Proud of Our Students
We’re so happy to share that our students have now received over 2.4K university scholarships from schools around the world, such an amazing achievement!
Some of these offers include programs at the University of Toronto for Mathematics and Physical Sciences, the School of International Liberal Studies at Waseda University and Keio University in Japan, Ivey Business School at Western University, and the Medical Science program at Western University, including an impressive $40,000 scholarship.
Seeing our students reach this milestone is incredibly rewarding. Their hard work, determination, and growth truly paid off, and we couldn’t be prouder.

April Orientation – A Fresh Start
This month, we welcomed our new students through our April Orientation, and it was such a great way to kick off their journey at UIS.
Students who attended Orientation in person completed their English assessment right here on campus, helping us better understand and support their learning from day one.
We also held student portrait sessions for both new and current students, capturing the start of a new term and new memories.
To make things easier for our students, bank representatives visited the school to help them open bank accounts on the spot, which was especially helpful for students who are new to Canada.
At the end of the day, students were able to take care of uniforms and submit important documents, making the transition into school smooth and stress-free.

Looking Ahead
April has been full of proud moments, new beginnings, and exciting transitions. Whether it’s celebrating university success or welcoming new faces into our community, UIS continues to be a place where students feel supported and inspired.
