Our Story
Urban International School (UIS) is an inspected private high school in Toronto. Over a decade, UIS has offered specialized academic programs that are designed for students who wish to pursue post-secondary education in Canada and worldwide. UIS has a team of friendly and dedicated teachers who are Ontario certified. UIS now offers grade 7 through grade 12 education programs, supporting a diverse student body from around the world, and preparing them for their bright future.

UIS History
2009
Urban International School was founded in 2009. The original location was in the heart of downtown Toronto. Since opening its door, UIS has been working with a diverse set of students to develop lifelong learning skills to be successful in their lives.
2017
UIS was relocated to Mid-town area in 2017 as its first expansion strategy.
2019
UIS successfully opened its second campus in a more suburban neighbourhood for high school ESL programs.
2020
With the unexpected outbreak of COVID-19 in March 2020, UIS quickly adapted the online learning module to continue educating UIS students.
2023
Relocation to a larger facility to accommodate a larger student body and to offer a variety of facilities for student growth.
2024 - 25
UIS expanded its wings to meet the demands of the growing student body. UIS is now equipped with two gym facilities, an auditorium theatre, as well as a lab facility where students can conduct experiments for hands-on-learning and more classrooms!
2030
UIS will continue to look forward to the future. UIS is planning to establish an international boarding school for closer student-care and support. UIS will become one and only of its kind.
